Grids hit the big time today and get to bask in the big lights of a Friday Daily headline. The game pictured is called Excape. It’s made by one of my favorite game designers, Reiner Knizia, and being published by Rio Grande Games for release in the beginning of April for $29.95. I yoinked this from BoardGameNews over here where they have a breakdown of the game play. I love games like this where you have to rely on a little bit of luck, strategy, and some long term thinking. My brain is boiling over with the possibilities of screwing over other players.
1up has a post up with the news that Square Enix has finally taken over Eidos. This has been a long time coming apparently and one can only hope that Squenix will keep as many employees as possible. As 1up states, this will give Square some established western franchises while ensuring that Eidos doesn’t completely disappear.
I’m going to go ahead and close this post out with some information that has seemed to become a staple in the Friday Daily, Steam Super Crazy Big American Party Weekend Sale! Click the link to find four Ubisoft games (Beyond Good & Evil, Farcry, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946) for $10. These games on their own are $10 a piece and Beyond Good & Evil by itself is worth the price of admission. Go to the site in the link or buy via your Steam client.
